Barnaby Weir & Friends

On 29th October, we are thrilled to have Barnaby Weir join us again at the Rippon Hall for an evening with Barnaby Weir and Friends.

Barnaby is no stranger to Rippon, having played here almost more than any other musician during the years of the Rippon Festival and, more recently, at The Rippon Hall with Anika Moa. Starting at 5pm with DJs before and after the main act, this will be five hours of live music not to be missed.

A Labour-Free Afternoon at Rippon

An afternoon of community fun, live music, vineyard tours, good food, wine and vibes.

This Labour-Day Monday join us at Rippon for an afternoon of  community fun with:

The Chef’s Table at the Rippon Hall opens Sunday 10th July and will open every evening from 4pm (3pm on Sunday) for evening dining and Apres-Ski drinks.

What to expect

Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, a roaring open fire and a daily changing menu, cooked with locally sourced ingredients. Children’s menu available. Rippon wines by the glass and bottle and beers from Wanaka breweries Sidewinder and Beerworks.

The most fabulous event in town this winter- The Grand Winter Soiree

We’re a little more than excited to announce  that the brilliant The ‘A’ Team Events are throwing Wanaka a fabulous winter party this September- and it’s happening at The Rippon Hall.

September the 5th is set for the date to don your black tie, dancing shoes and air of glitz and glamour.

The world of porky goodness returns for 2015

We’re pleased as pork to announce that for the third consecutive year, renowned cook school, Preserved NZ, are returning to The Rippon Hall for their annual weekend of courses entitled ‘A Pig in a Day’

Running on both Saturday the 25th and Sunday 26th July from 10am-3pm at The Rippon Hall, the ‘A Pig in a Day’ course allows local food lovers the chance to get involved with a thorough practical demonstration using a free range pig and learn how to make sausages, proscuitto style air-dried hams, brine-cured hams, wet & dry cured bacon, chorizos, salamis & more. The lovely Anna teaches what cuts are best for what, how to make different cures, mincing, casing, hanging aging & smoking.

A delicious home-cooked lunch is enjoyed with Rippon wine, and followed by a chance to create your own signature sausage in the Rippon kitchen.

Here at Rippon we are gearing up for a weekend of celebrations over Labour Weekend to celebrate the family and team’s 100 years on the land and 30 years of winegrowing.

A weekend of wine events is culminating in a community-focused, family day at the Rippon Cellar Door. We’ll be throwing open the doors to The Rippon Hall and inviting the community to come and try the 2012 wine releases, enjoy a picnic overlooking the view and generally have a lovely time.
